My first pick, was the 2001 world series with the D-backs, and the yankees. Many call it the best world series of all time. I thought it was pretty entertaining. Pretty intense too. No doubt about it though, it was like something out of a movie. Another great thing about it, was how the series went into november.
Baseball only goes to mid, or late october. In the series, the named Yankees shortstop, Derek Jeter Mr. November.
The sries started out with the D-backs winning two straight games. Then the yankees came back and won three in a row. Then The D-backs tied it in the next game, and went on to game seven of the world series.
Pitching for the yankees was the Rocket. ( Roger Clemens )
And pitching for the D-backs was Curt Schilling. Both players had an amazing season.
The final score of the game, was 3-2 D-Backs.
Yankees And D-Backs 2001 World Series
My second pick was a world series with my all time favorite team. The Giants. They made the playoffs as a wild card team, and ended up facing the angels.
They didn’t win the world series, but it was entertaining.
Giants and Angels World Series 2002
My third choice was the ALDS game in 1999 with the red sox and indians. In game five of this series, it was a tie game. Pedro Martinez was supposed to start, but didn’t cause of his back. So both teams were hitting at will. The Red sox manager had enough. He put Pedro in the bullpen. Later they brought Pedro into the game. Working six scorless, and hitless innings. Final score, 12-8 Red Sox
Sorry to say, I couldn’t manage to find a video clip of this game.
My fourth choice was, the 2006 world series with the cards, and the tigers. It was a great world series cause, both teams hadn’t made it to the world series in a while. And if either team won, it would have been a celabration. The year before, the tigers lost more than a hundred games ina season! So it was great for that team. It was great for the cards too. Cause I like the cards. I wanted them to win. And sure enough, they did.
Cardinals And Tigers 2006 World Series
My fifth and final decision was, the 2004 world series with the red sox and cardinals. It was amazing to see the red sox come to the world series, and win it. And to see them break the curse. It was intense.
Sadly, I couldn’t find a video for this one either. I tried my best. So I’ll leave you with this…..
